It was designed for Croleon Innovation Labs. It is a household medical instrument which measures many vital functions of human body such as breathing rate, heart rate, pulse rate, blood pressure, lungs functioning and oxygen level.

It has been designed such that you just need to hold it in your mouth for a while and breath, it takes all the measurement. The location of the blood pressure and pulse rate sensor has been made such that, it measures these factors just by way of holding the device. The design has been inspired from the shape of Swan’s neck which also makes it very ergonomic to handle the device easily.

Polymerase Chain Reactor (PCR)

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a technique used in molecular biology to amplify a single copy or a few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence and it is carried out in the ‘Polymerase chain reactor’. It was developed and designed for Agharkar Research Institute, an institute of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

This has an opening on the upper side covering the chamber for placing the DNA sample. There is touch screen control at the front for setting the temperature and number of cycles for replicating the DNA and an on-off switch at the back. This has been designed in semi organic language inspiring from the microbiological shapes. This futuristic design resembles with the face of ‘Lord Ganesha’ giving an Indian touch to this invention
